| TRYSULL TIGERS U12 GIRLS | 1 |
I decided to change the starting line up a little for the second match to try and see different pairings in certain positions, and also Hattie and Millie were carrying injuries. I asked the girls to remember this was a new game, the score was 0-0, and to keep playing at the same tempo. We stared off brightly and always looked in control, but weren't creating many chances. During the second half we were awarded a harsh looking penalty, which Ruby slotted home. Withymoor carried on with their passing game and created two chances late in the game. The first a long range effort, looked like it was going in the top corner, until Beth somehow managed to use all her height and caught the ball. A couple of minutes later, a bit of pinball in the area and some smart footwork enabled Beth to get across to keep out a shot which looked like came off the strikers thigh. More of a hard working performance than the first game, with good performances again from Rosie and Hannah, but MOM went to Beth, who at the end saved us a couple of points.
Well done girls two good wins against a good team.
